These Origins lip glosses are really great in a lot of ways. There are a wide range of colors available that appeal to a variety of customers. The two I chose are a light shimmery pink, and a bright shimmery pink! They have a minty taste that I love and last quite awhile for glosses. The color isn’t sheer like the Tarte Maracuja glosses I reviewed a few days ago which is definitely a plus. The packaging is great and you get a lot of product for only $15. I definitely recommend checking these out!

Origins Eyeliners

These eyeliners are very creamy, come in tons of different shades, and truly last. However, they are not my top choice for the waterline. They don’t show up very well and don’t last long enough when they do. These are great for a nice pencil eyeliner and don’t tug on the skin because they are so soft and smooth. They also are great for creating a nice even line along the lashes- very precise.

Also, at $15 a pop they are super affordable!

These are two of the best quads I have seen Mac come out with in quite awhile. They are all superbly pigmented and great for spring/summer! The pinks are great for daytime and the blues and greens for day or night! Definitely recommend these if you can still get your hands on them!

These new lipglosses from Tarte are very nice. They are hydrating and super shiny, but don’t offer much color. They are very sheer so it doesn’t matter much which color you select. The tend to all look the same.

They taste really minty which is refreshing and aren’t sticky at all which I appreciate. These would look great layered over a lipstick or worn alone for a very natural look. Plus the hydrating effect makes them feel a little like a Chapstick which is an added benefit.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere

Chanel released their new foundation, Perfection Lumiere quite awhile ago but I was a bit skeptical. Check out photos, swatches, and read the rest of my review below.

This foundation was released months ago as a replacement for their ever popular Pro Lumiere foundation that had been a big hit for years. I own nearly all the Chanel foundations and Pro Lumiere was definitely one of my favorites but I still had a few complaints. For one, it tended to rub off on your clothes, phones, etc., even while wearing a makeup primer or setting spray. It also broke me out a bit but my skin did grow used to it and the breakouts were less and less frequent.

I picked up a sample of Perfection Lumiere in shade B20 which is perfect for me and tried it for about two days before I had to pick it up! This is one of the most amazing foundations I have ever used. It seems as if it were made just for my skin tone and type. It is luminous but not oily or shiny, full coverage but natural, long wearing without rubbing off and being tacky, and photographs beautifully. I can’t say enough good things about this foundation.

However, I believe it is geared more towards a normal to oily skinned person and that it may not be suitable for dry skins. It tends to cling to dry patches on the skin (which is why it works so well for me- I am so oily). It is definitely a medium to full coverage so it covers all my scarring, hyper pigmentation, etc.

Check out your local Chanel counter for a sample if you want to try this foundation. I highly recommend it!
